The Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) will hold the 'Special Class Railway Apprentices' Examination (SCRA), 2014 on 12th January, 2014 for recruitment to the Special Class Apprentices in the Mechanical Department of Indian Railways. Interested Candidates can apply Online from 05th October, 2013 to 04th November, 2013.

Eligibility Criteria for SCRA 2014 :
Educational Qualification : Candidates should have passed in the first or second division, the Intermediate or an equivalent Examination of a University or Board with Mathematics and at least one of the subjects Physics and Chemistry as subjects of the examination. Graduates with Mathematics and at least one of the subjects Physics and Chemistry as their degree subjects.
Age Limit : Candidates age should be between 17 yrs and 21 yrs as on 01-01-2014. Age Relaxations will be applicable as per rules.
Application Fee : 
1. Candidates are required to pay Rs. 100 either by depositing the money in any branch of SBI.
2. SC / ST / Female / PH candidates are exempted from payment of fee.
Selection Process : Selection will be done on the basis of Written Examination and Interview.
